The Florist to the Telemarketer

You arrange your

words so carefully,

showing off the best

first, the bright colors

and dazzling scent

of whatever it is

you are pedaling. I know

most people hang up.

In between the calls

be sure to take a water

break.  Too much

rejection, like direct sun,

can wither the tender skin

your soul is wrapped up in

and cause black spot infection.
